Science¶
Science is not a catalog of facts. It is a method for interrogating the universe — a discipline of skepticism, measurement, and revision. The essays in this section aim to show how we know what we claim to know, and to derive results rather than assert them.
What you'll find here:
- Physics — mechanics, thermodynamics, relativity, quantum mechanics, and the structure of physical law.
- Biology — evolution, genetics, ecology, and the evidence for common descent.
- Statistics — probability, inference, experimental design, and the mathematics of uncertainty.
- Cosmology — the origin and structure of the universe, from the Big Bang to cosmic expansion.
- Philosophy of Science — what science is, how it works, and how to tell it from its counterfeits.
Each essay tries to be careful about sources, transparent about uncertainty, and honest when the evidence runs out.
